Since 2003, Dr. Schär has carried out research at the Area Science Park in Trieste, a famous international science and technology park. The Dr. Schär laboratory at the Area Science Park employs eight staff. Most of these are research and development experts, as well as one laboratory technician.
Most of Dr. Schär’s R&D employees have qualifications in natural sciences or food technology.
The location of the laboratory at the Area Science Park has considerable advantages for the Dr. Schär Group, since research and development at the site are supported by an ultra-modern infrastructure. It is possible to establish valuable scientific contacts, there is support for the essential training and further training of staff, and collaborative projects using the very latest instruments and technology are organized. The park is also home to a wide range of other important initiatives in the scientific field. The fact that the laboratory is located within this pool of scientific knowledge has also clearly been beneficial in terms of finding partners for important international research and/or development projects. Since 2003 our laboratory department has been able to carry out its own research projects, develop numerous new products and also to further improve the recipes for our existing product range.
Cooperation with research institutes, universities, and participation in specialist forums and working groups means that Dr. Schär always keeps up to date with the very latest developments.
